“Catfish Haven possess equal amounts of backwoods authenticity and cosmopolitan flair. They may harvest most of their mojo from south of the Mason-Dixon…but they bleed metropolitan with undeniable garage-grime charm and power-pop arrangements reminiscent of the Strokes…Hunter's worn-in croon wraps itself around lyrics with whiskey-soaked ease.” - Spin

Catfish Haven is the Missouri trailer park George hunter grew up in. Catfish Haven the band is soulful howling over an acoustic guitar turned way up. Hopeful yearning for better days echoed through amps and a drum kit. I first heard these guys 4 years ago when I worked with Miguel’s cousin. Listening to Catfish Haven was like nothing I had ever really heard before. Soul, rock and bluegrass all rolled into one powerful package. They have been compared to future classic rock contenders like My Morning Jacket, Magnolia Electric Co., The Hold Steady, and Lucero. There newest release “Devastator” was one of 2008’s best releases that nobody heard. Here’s what spin had to say:

"Catfish Haven's blues-infused ballads and boozy trots possess equal amounts of backwoods authenticity and cosmopolitan flair. They may harvest most of their mojo from south of the Mason Dixon, but they bleed metropolitan with undeniable garage-grime charm and power-pop arrangements reminiscent of The Strokes" -Spin

Please take a listen and look for great music from these guys in the years to come.

KINGS OF LEON returned with the release of their highly anticipated fourth album 'Only By The Night' in September through Columbia Records. 'Only By The Night' is a bold and expansive sonic statement that looks set to solidify Kings of Leon's position as one of the most important international acts of 2008 and beyond. It follows rapidly in the footsteps of the bands previous albums 'Youth And Young Manhood', 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' & 'Because Of The Times', which have quickly established them as one of the most prolific and acclaimed acts around.

This CD spent 2 months straight on repeat in my car, one of my favorites of ‘08. I highly recommend this CD to anyone looking for a great indie rock album in the vein of The Killers or My Morning Jacket. Stand out tracks include: Closer, Use Somebody, and I Want You. But you don’t have to take my word for it.

Despite a wave of criticism asserting that Kings of Leon's fourth full-length is "too commercial," Only by the Night may be the closest thing to a pitch-perfect album to drop in 2008. -- Jason Kirk (Amazon.com)

THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS unleashed their Howard Benson-produced (Daughtry, Seether, All-American Rejects) sophomore album, LONELY ROAD on February 3. It is the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to Don't You Fake It, their Platinum-selling breakthrough debut featuring smash single, 'Face Down.'

With LONELY ROAD, RJA has created a diverse, stunning rock record that is a huge artistic step forward for the band. Led by the blistering first single, 'You Better Pray,' the album forces listeners to stand up and take notice. With songs ranging from the sprawling title track, evocative of Temple of the Dog to the gorgeous, almost do-wopinfluenced 'Believe' to the more signature, RJA-sounding 'Pen and Paper,' Lonely Road is an album that is certain to establish the band as one of the biggest rock bands in the world.
